An event you won’t want to miss is the heavy athletic competition. Brawny men tossing the caber, the sheaf toss, and other traditional tests of skill and strength! There will be no lack of fun things to see and do.

The Festival will be held at Lawson Creek Park, located on the lovely Trent River. The day’s activities will start at 9:00 a.m. Clan and Society tents will circle the field and a Tartan Search tent will help attendees to find their clan or district affiliation.

Musical talent, Highland Dancers, Pipers and Pipe Bands will add color and excitement. Weaving demonstrations and other handcrafts, a medieval village and fencing demonstrations are planned. Join us, or just watch, as we learn Scottish Country Dancing.

A sheep dog demonstration and the those lovable shaggy Highland Coos (cattle) are always crowd pleasers. And we haven’t forgotten the youngsters, they can try their skills at the Junior Highland Games and there will be a Children’s Area with games and crafts.
